Josh Edelson is a corporate headshot photographer who travels to Portland to shoot executive, team and LinkedIn headshots on location, bringing an AFP/Getty photojournalism eye to the Pearl District, downtown, and the Lloyd District.

On-Location Corporate Headshots Across Portland
Portland is a city where the dress code runs from a Patagonia vest to a tailored blazer, and your headshots should look like the company you actually are, not like a stock-photo template. As a corporate headshot photographer who works regularly in Portland, I bring a full lighting and backdrop kit directly to your office, conference room, or event space, so your whole team can be photographed in a single, efficient session without anyone leaving the building.
What a Headshot Session Includes
Every session is built to be painless for busy executives and easy on your office manager. I handle the setup, the direction, and the retouching so your team just shows up, sits down, and looks great.
- Studio-quality lighting on location: I build a portable studio in any room with a power outlet, so a clean white, gray, or branded background is available even in a cramped conference room.
- Executive, team, and LinkedIn headshots: consistent framing, expression coaching, and a relaxed pace so even camera-shy people end up with a shot they’re happy to use.
- Environmental and lifestyle portraits: natural-light portraits in your actual workspace when you want something warmer than a plain backdrop. For broader brand and culture imagery, see my office and lifestyle photography.
- Professional retouching: color correction, blemish and stray-hair cleanup, and subtle, natural finishing on every selected frame.
Deliverables and Turnaround
You’ll review your images and pick your favorites, and I deliver fully retouched, high-resolution files plus web-optimized versions sized for LinkedIn, company bios, and press use. Standard turnaround is three to five business days after selections, with rush options available when you have a board announcement or a press deadline. Files come through a private online gallery your team can download from directly.
A Photojournalist’s Eye on Corporate Portraits
What separates my headshots from a typical mall-studio look is where I come from. For more than 15 years I’ve worked as a contributor for Agence France-Presse (AFP), Getty Images, and the Associated Press, photographing breaking news, executives, and public figures under real-world pressure. That photojournalism training means I read a person fast, catch the genuine expression instead of the frozen one, and work quickly enough that a 30-person team day never feels like an assembly line.
That same eye carries into my commercial work for companies including Google, Amazon, Meta, Salesforce, Stanford, and UCSF, and into recognized photography honors, a First Prize at the Istanbul Photo Awards, an IFPA/Xposure award in Sharjah, and work exhibited at Visa pour l’Image in Perpignan. You can see the range on my press and recognition page or read more about my background.
How I Work in Portland (Traveling in from San Francisco)
I’m based in the San Francisco Bay Area and travel to Portland regularly for corporate clients, it’s a quick hop, and I’ve built my kit specifically to fly with me. That means you get a high-end SF corporate photographer at your Portland office without flying anyone to California. I arrive early to scout your space, find the cleanest backgrounds and best light, and have everything dialed in before your first person sits down. For multi-city companies, I also cover the broader West Coast; clients often pair Portland with a session in Seattle, where I shoot regularly, see my Seattle corporate headshot photography page.
Portland’s frequent overcast skies are actually an advantage for portraits, that soft, even light is flattering, and when we want it I can shoot natural environmental portraits by your windows or step outside near the river or a brick alley in the Pearl. When the weather doesn’t cooperate, my location lighting makes it irrelevant.
Pricing
Corporate headshot sessions are priced by time so you can bring as many people through as the day allows:
- Half-day on location, from $2,000. Ideal for small to mid-size teams, executive leadership groups, or a focused round of new-hire headshots.
- Full-day on location, from $4,000. Best for larger companies photographing whole departments or multiple floors in one visit.
- Aerial and drone photography, from $1,500. FAA Part 107 certified, for offices, campuses, and Portland event coverage that needs an elevated angle. See drone and aerial photography.
Travel from the Bay Area is straightforward to quote and folded into the estimate up front, no surprises. Final pricing depends on team size, number of looks, and retouching volume.
Beyond Headshots
Plenty of Portland clients book me for more than portraits. If you have a conference at the Oregon Convention Center, an all-hands, a product launch, or a leadership offsite, I also handle full corporate event photography, and my core headshot services page covers studio and individual options. Booking headshots and event coverage on the same trip is the most cost-effective way to get a full library of brand imagery in one visit.
